Rare Classic June 2027 MOT For sale on behalf of my neighbour is his beloved wide-body BMW Z3 2.8 — a great example of one of BMW’s most desirable model If you’re looking for a superb Z3, this is definitely one to consider. The car really needs to be seen to be appreciated, so viewings are highly recommended. Having owned several Z3s myself, I can honestly say that if I didn’t already have my own projects, I would have bought this one. At the heart of this Z3 is the famous 2.8-litre straight-six petrol engine (M52B28, 24-valve), producing around 190bhp and capable of 0–60mph in under 7 seconds. This is one of the most sought-after Z3 variants. This comes with a 5 speed manual transmission. This particular car sounds superb — exactly how a classic BMW should. The fantastic exhaust note is thanks not only to the engine itself but also to a new exhaust system fitted last year. Finished in stunning Atalanta Blue (“GoldenEye”), the exterior presents exceptionally well for its age. The paintwork in most places is great considering its age with only one rear panel showing signs of wear, I have added an image of this. All four alloy wheels are immaculate and have been recently been refurbished. All four tyres have plenty of tread remaining. This particular model comes with the electric roof, all fully working and it water tight. Looks to be original with some small damage but nothing that is concerning. It’s also a widebody with factory LSD – no leaks or seepages. Importantly, as far as I can see, the car has minimal rust given its age and has reportedly spent most of its life stored indoors — something I’m very much inclined to believe given its condition. This is a genuine great example! This vehicle comes with a factory’s fitted wind deflector and the Tonneau Cover for the electric roof too! These are rare accessories and are worth a good amount of money by themselves! It also comes with Angel Eye Headlights with all the fittings etc with them worth a good amount of money, so this Z3 comes with lots of extras too! The interior is overall in fabulous condition with slight wear on certain things such as the drivers seat, and a repair to the handle. This particular Z3 with fully working electric seats, electric power windows, heated seats, radio along with the usual items. Aftermarket high end radio, blue tooth connection etc, electric mirrors. When he bought it last year, he spent a small fortune. He fitted a new exhaust system, two rear springs, rear bushes and suspension arms. No service history (Neighbour can’t find paperwork), however engine starts first time, no chain rattle and absolutely flys! Everything works as it should and you will not be disappointed. It was serviced regularly and last one was done when he bought it last year. If you want a brilliant example of a Z3 a future classic this is one to seriously consider, it will put a smile on your face. It’s looks and sounds absolutely fantastic!
