BMW X5 40d M Sport Auto xDrive Black 2012 M Sport Spares Or Repairs Project. Please read below and no timewasters or blaggers as this will be the second time I have listed my car. I purchased the vehicle back in 2022 and drove it for about 2 years. Then in late 2024 there as an oil leak. I paid for the repairs which was rocker gasket cover, crankshaft seal, brake discs and pads and also rear airbag. Once collected the vehicle I drove a for a few miles down the road and the oil leak persisted again having spent nearly £2.5K on parts and labour costs. As i was not sure what the diagnosis was I left the vehicle parked up as I was still undecided what to do with the vehicle however As I work away from home a lot I don’t have the time to get the car up and running to its full potential. The car is HPI clear and I have tried to keep it clean as much as I can. There are some age related marks which is expected for the year. As seems to have everyone as a mechanic, I asked a mobile mechanic to come and view my car. He advised me that these are only observations and that he would need to investigate the oil leak further. What I know needs to be looked at below. Bonnet catch – rust on the catches as been stood for a over 12 months Oil leak under engine – When you start and run idle no oil comes out however when revs are up to 2500rpm oil comes out quickly but when engine turns off oil stops leaking. Brakes and pads are new but as been stood for some time will need a smooth wire brush to make clean. Front window has crack For some reason parking brake says faulty. – Investigated this further and comes up more often. a replacement part ranges between £100 – £120 brand new New Battery fitted and has a 5 year warranty. All electrics work which includes foldable mirrors, windows and of course rear boot and front seats. Parking front and rear sensors all work as they should. The private plate will also come with the car. As stated before I am no mechanic nor do I come across one and again all information about my car has been advised more as observations and repairs prior. Please also note that does not make me stupid and I have been as honest as I can. Only bid if you are genuine Happy bidding
