Selling my 3 series cabriolet as my father has given me his 5 series M-Sport. Be under no illusions, this 3 series cabriolet needs a bit of work to get it back to a respectable state. Selling my 3 series cabriolet as my father has given me his 5 series M-Sport. Be under no illusions, this 3 series cabriolet needs a bit of work to get it back to a respectable state. But, it drives REALLY well. Here are the things that need attention: 1. Relay for the roof needs replacing. The roof opens but then doesn’t close. The boot opens to allow the roof to come up, but the roof doesn’t lift out of the boot. This is due to water that collected behind the seats due to a clogged drain. That’s been resolved, but the roof is playing up. 2. Some tw@£ knocked the front bumper, and it’s got a crack on the front right corner. 3. Xenon bulb needs replacing on the same side (front right). 4. For some reason the bonnet light is on, but the bonnet is secure. 5. I have a dog & a boat. I’ll give it a clean… Here are some positives: 1. Service history is available. 2. The 3.0l Diesel drives really, really well. 3. The suspension has been replaced. 4. The alloys have been refurbished. 5. Starts reliably, and sits very well at motorway speeds 6. Has the optional wider tyres on the rear, along with a spare tyre (not including the rim) 7. When it’s clean, it’s a real head-turner. Especially with the roof down and nice music. I have owned this car since 88k miles, since August 2021 (nearly 5yrs) and driven mostly motorway miles. She’s a good runner. Feel free to ask any questions you wish. It’s a great car, but needs some love.
